BEFORE
DURING- demolition is almost complete. All walls have been gutted down to the studs. Four layers of flooring were removed to expose the original diagonal plank subfloor. The brick wall thats exposed will be removed to widen the opening leading to the back
DURING- all rough in plumbing and electrical is complete and all sheet rock hung as the cabinets are installed.
AFTER- The red quartz countertop makes this kitchen unique. The custom cabinets surrounding the refrigerator are 31 inches deep.
BEFORE- View from the opposite end of the kitchen.
DURING- The wall on the left-hand side which separates the dining room from the kitchen has been opened up to create a pass-thru.
DURING- All sheet rock is ready to be painted as the wall cabinets are installed. A new layer of three-quarter inch plywood was installed over the plank subflooring.
AFTER- The pass-through opening to the dining room has a red quartz sill to match the countertop
This view of the kitchen shows how deep the cabinets are that surround the refrigerator
BEFORE- View of the wall where the pass-through Will be
During picture of the pass-through area.
AFTER View of the pass-through area. We created a small Peninsula with seating next to the pass-thru.
DURING View of the refrigerator wal. Removing all of the plaster and sheet rock to open up the walls made it easy to run the new wiring for the undercabinet lighting.
AFTER View of the refrigerator wall – note how large the bottom drawer to the right it is. The customer specifically requested the height of this drawer so that it could accommodate specific items she wanted to store there.
Before view of the dining room pass through – from the dining room side.
AFTER View of the dining room bathroom from the dining room side.
After view of the dining room pass-thru. This
BEFORE View of the step down closet area – knook- by the back door. The doorway leading to the kitchen will be widened.
DURING- The wall to the right used to be the exterior wall of the house- which is why the wall is brick. If you look closely you can see the brick which will be removed.
DURING- The opening has been widened and framed.
AFTER View of the custom cabinet that now fills the knook by the back door.
AFTER- another view of the nook...we installed a marble threshold in the 6 foot wide doorway as an edge to the floor where you step down.
AFTER- this photo gives a much nicer view of the marble threshold/step. It's very obvious that the cabinet in the nook is custom-made
