KITCHEN- MCNULTY

BEFORE- Not the best before picture – my camera was on the fritz so the customer found this old picture of the original kitchen
DURING- as demolition begins, the base and wall cabinets are removed. The ceiling bulkheads have small flaps in them which were cut months before to determine what pipes and wires would need to be relocated.
DURING- after all the cabinets were removed, the old hardwood flooring was torn up and New Hardwood flooring was installed, sanded, stained, and finished. The floor has been covered with Masonite to protect the new hardwood while construction progresses.
DURING- The kitchen is almost completely finished, all that remains is the final coat of paint and for the pendant lights to be installed.
AFTER- kitchen is finished! Beautiful tile backsplash, granite countertops, new custom-made cabinets by "Glen Raver", Undercabinet lighting, pendant lights, new appliances, and a beautiful new hardwood floor. Time for dinner!
AFTER- Great shot of the finished kitchen shows how the pendant lights and undercabinet lighting provide a nice relaxed ambience. The wall cabinet to the right opens up to provide storage for mail, papers, wallet, keys, etc.
BEFORE- another before picture kindly provided by the homeowner as my camera was on the fritz when we started this job.
DURING- The existing base and wall cabinets are removed and broken down as demolition of the old kitchen progresses.
DURING- demolition continues – The old tile backsplash and the sheet rock behind it have been removed all the way to the ceiling. This will provide easy access for the electrician to install the wiring for the new undercabinet lighting.
DURING- The kitchen is almost finished! New cabinets, countertops, tile backsplash, and appliances are all in. The new hardwood floor is polished, and all that remains is for the final coat of paint and the pendant lights to be installed.
AFTER- The kitchen is finished! The diagonal corner wall cabinets have glass doors and the cabinet interiors are lined with ambient lighting which is independent of the undercabinet lights.
AFTER- this closer view shows what a fantastic job the customer did with color coordinating everything. The glazing that accents the painted cabinets blends in perfectly with the granite and the tile backsplash which seem to be made for each other.
AFTER- this close-up of the refrigerator wall shows the small microwave shelf to the right of the refrigerator and directly below it is a spice rack pull out. This cabinetry was all custom-made by "Raver cabinets"...right down to the shoe moulding!
DURING- The kitchen is almost finished. The beautiful dark hardwood floor accents the lighter cabinets so well – kudos to my customer for doing such a great job with all their color selections. I think I may have found a new interior decorator :-)
AFTER- this side view shows the open bookshelf at the end of the new peninsula – a great place for cookbooks. The back of the bookshelf and the peninsula are finished with a glazed bead board, baseboard, and shoe molding.
AFTER- this close out of the pendant lights shows the retro "Edison bulbs" that were used to provide the perfect accent and conversation piece for this kitchen- very cool!
AFTER- this is a perfect close-up to view the baseboard, toe kick, and custom-made shoe molding which accents these beautiful custom cabinets. A good job is always in the finer details.
AFTER- to the right of the range is an 18 inch wide base cabinet pullout which holds two trash cans as shown. The cabinet even has room for a drawer above. This type of cabinet makes it very easy to do a little recycling.
AFTER- Each corner base cabinet is a 36 inch "Super Susan" – a Lazy Susan cabinet with 2 fixed shelves. Sitting on each fixed shelf is a rotating platform....much nicer than two plastic shelves on a metal pole!
AFTER- close-up of the range and the custom range hood. This was one of the most important things to the customer – getting this range hood just the way they wanted it – and they couldn't be happier with the result!... It's exactly what they envisioned.
AFTER- another close-up of the range hood shows the mechanics – the fan and light unit – which are concealed by the hood. This fan is ducted to the outside and is quite powerful.… No worries of smoke in this kitchen!
AFTER- A close-up of the sink base shows how the base cabinet has a tilt tray – a great place to hide rings and a sponge. This is an oversize 33 inch wide single bowl sink that is over 11 inches deep! It is both beautiful and functional!
AFTER- this close-up shot of the granite countertop and backsplash also shows the undercabinet LED Seagull lighting system.
DURING- A wide-angle view of the kitchen area. This shows how we have protected the new hardwood floor in the work area. I prefer to install the hardwood flooring first so that it runs underneath of the new cabinets....it makes for a nicer job.
DURING- this wide-angle view shows the kitchen remodel is almost complete. Different color swatches line the walls as the customer decides what color paint to use.
AFTER- The remodel is complete! A beautiful new hanging light is centered over the dining room table. Customer is now ready for their first dinner party in their new kitchen and dining room!
BEFORE- this is a before view of the opposite end of the kitchen great room. This was taken day one of the remodel and it's a great shot of the old hardwood flooring.
AFTER- after view of the kitchen great room/family room. The new darker hardwood floor looks absolutely beautiful.!
